The most precipitation reported in Tennessee was 2.80" at Columbia. There were 357 reports from Tennessee.
The most precipitation reported in Texas was 1.27" at South Houston. There were 342 reports from Texas.
No precipitation was reported in Tarrant County, Texas.
So far, 5312 CoCoRaHS entries have been made and the greatest amount of precipitation was 6.75" at Shelton , Washington.

The most new snow reported was in South Dakota, North Dakota, and Wyoming. Under blizzard conditions estimates of new snow were as high as 20" at Wasta, South Dakota with other estimates of 12". One station reported 8' drifts with spots on the ground almost bare from the winds sweeping off the snow.
The most snow on the ground was hard for the observers to estimate due to the conditions, the highest 'best' guess was 18" at Whitewood, South Dakota.

The forecast for today is for a high in the mid60's, the low around 40, and a 70% chance of showers.

The low today was 45ºF and the high was 65ºF. The rain ended by around 9AM. The sky began clearing around noon and was clear by 4PM.

11/6/2008 CoCoRaHS reports (as of time of blog entry) -
The most precipitation reported in Tennessee was 0.15" at Memphis. There were 296 reports from Tennessee.
The most precipitation reported in Texas was 0.55" at Smithville. There were 425 reports from Texas.
The most precipitation reported in Tarrant County, Texas was 0.40" at Crowley.
So far, 5554 CoCoRaHS entries have been made and the greatest amount of precipitation was 3.84" at Guthrie, Oklahoma.

The most new snow reported was in South Dakota. Under blizzard conditions estimates of new snow were as high as 30" at Lead with other estimates from 10" to 18".
The greatest amount of snow on the ground reported was 30" in Lead, South Dakota. Under blizzard conditions with high winds and drifts 5 - 6 feet deep the reporters said it was hard to estimate true snow depth. Soda Springs, California reports 10" still on the ground with no new snow reported on 11/6.

There was no rain in the gauge this morning. The 5:30 AM temperature was 47ºF, the sky was clear, and winds were calm.

The forecast for today is for a high in the mid70's, the low in the low 50's, and mostly clear to partly cloudy sky's. Tonight showers are expected to develop with a chance of thunderstorms. The chance of rain tonight is 80%.

The low today was 46ºF and the high was 73ºF. It was clear or mostly clear most of the day. The rain started after midnight and there was 0.17" in the gauge at 5:30 AM on 11/7.

A trace of rain (less than 0.01") was reported in Texas at Marshall and Leakey. There were 253 reports from Texas.
No rain was reported in Tarrant County.
So far 4307 CoCoRaHS entries have been made and the greatest amount of precipitation was 2.38" at Placerville, California. ( I believe this is the first time California has reported the most rain since they began doing CoCoRaHS in September.)
