Westmoreland Weather
There was 0.26" of rain in the gauge this morning. The 5:30 AM temperature was 40ºF, the sky was mostly clear, and winds were estimated to be 8-12 mph.

The forecast for today is for a high in the mid 50's, the low in the mid 30's, and mostly clear sky's.

The low today was 40ºF and the high was 56ºF. The morning started clear and by noon it was partly cloudy and then cloudy by evening.

Last year on the 8th the low was 27ºF, the high was 48ºF, and no rain was recorded for this CoCoRaHS station.

The forecast low today is for the upper 20's and the expected high is for the upper 30's. There is a 90% chance of precipitation, with snow showers and perhaps rain mixed in at times.

11/7/2008 CoCoRaHS reports (as of time of blog entry) -
The most precipitation reported in Tennessee was 2.80" at Columbia. There were 357 reports from Tennessee.
The most precipitation reported in Texas was 1.27" at South Houston. There were 342 reports from Texas.
No precipitation was reported in Tarrant County, Texas.
So far, 5312 CoCoRaHS entries have been made and the greatest amount of precipitation was 6.75" at Shelton , Washington.

The most new snow reported was in South Dakota, North Dakota, and Wyoming. Under blizzard conditions estimates of new snow were as high as 20" at Wasta, South Dakota with other estimates of 12". One station reported 8' drifts with spots on the ground almost bare from the winds sweeping off the snow.
The most snow on the ground was hard for the observers to estimate due to the conditions, the highest 'best' guess was 18" at Whitewood, South Dakota.
