There was 0.50" of precipitation in the gauge this morning. The 5:30 AM temperature was 67ºF, the sky was partly cloudy, and winds were calm.

The forecast for today is for a low in the mid 60's, a high in the low 80's, mostly cloudy skies and south winds 5-10 mph. There is a 60% chance of showers or thunderstorms today.

Last year on the 22nd the low was 58ºF, the high was 83ºF, and no precipitation was recorded for this CoCoRaHS station.

9/21/2009 CoCoRaHS reports (from reports that looked legitimate as of time of blog entry) -
The most precipitation reported in Tennessee was 4.13" at Monteagle. There were 369 reports from Tennessee.
The most precipitation reported in Sumner County, Tennessee was 2.24" at Westmoreland .
The most precipitation reported in Texas was 2.89" at Del Rio. There were 542 reports from Texas.
No precipitation was reported in Tarrant County, Texas.
So far 7557 CoCoRaHS entries have been made and the greatest amount of precipitation was over 11" at Douglasville, Georgia (it was reported to be 11.80" but the gauge was said to be full so there was presumably more than 11"). There were 37 reports of more than 4" from Georgia, 9 reports of more than 4" from Indiana, and 6 reports of over 4" form Alabama, 4 from South Carolina, 2 from Illinois and 2 from North Carolina, and 1 report over 4" each in Kentucky and Tennessee

The most new snow reported was 5.0" at Elk Mountain, Wyoming.
The most snow reported on the ground was 3.0" at HHR (?) in Colorado.
