There was 0.61" of precipitation in the gauge this morning. The 5:30 AM temperature was 49º F, the sky was cloudy and winds were estimated to be 4-7 mph with stronger gusts.

The forecast for today is for the low in the upper 20s and the high in the low 60s with a 50% chance of rain.

The low today was 40º F and the high was 70º F. It was cloudy with a thundershower around noon.

2/17/2009 CoCoRaHS reports (from reports that looked legitimate as of time of blog entry) -
The most precipitation reported in Tennessee was 0.08" at Memphis. There were 279 reports from Tennessee.
No precipitation was reported in Sumner County, Tennessee.
The most precipitation reported in Texas was 0.40" at Alamo. There were 469 reports from Texas.
The most precipitation reported in Tarrant County, Texas was a trace at Edgecliff and Grapevine.
So far, 5199 CoCoRaHS entries have been made and the greatest amount of precipitation reported was 2.10" at Los Gatos, California.

The most new snow reported was 13.0" at Kingvale, California.
The most snow reported on the ground was 97.0" at Soda Springs, California. (Note this CoCoRaHS station at Soda Springs had not entered reports for awhile and entered several reports on the 17th during which time they received a lot of snow, thus passing the more consistent entries of Kingvale, California and Crested Butte, Colorado.)
