There was a trace of precipitation in the gauge this morning and about 0.2" of snow on the ground. The 5:30 AM temperature was 14ºF, the sky was partly cloudy and winds were estimated to be 4-7 mph with stronger gusts.

The forecast for today is for the low in the lower teens and the high in the upper 20s with partly cloudy skies.

The low today was 11º F and the high was 25º F. The sky was mostly clear most of the day.

Last year on the 4th the low was 52ºF, the high was 64ºF, and no precipitation was recorded for this CoCoRaHS station.

The most precipitation reported in Tennessee was 1.42" at Athens. There were 289 reports from Tennessee. The most new snow reported was 5.0" at Washburn.

The most precipitation reported in Texas was a trace at Corpus Christi. There were 333 reports from Texas.
There was no precipitation reported in Tarrant County, Texas.
So far, 5073 CoCoRaHS entries have been made and the greatest amount of precipitation reported that looked legitimate was 3.08" at Clewiston, Florida.

The most new snow reported was 21.0" at Houghton, Michigan.
The most snow reported on the ground was 55.0" at Crested Butte, Colorado.
