There was 3.66" of precipitation in the gauge this morning. The 5:30 AM temperature was 70º F, the sky was cloudy, and winds were estimated to be 13-18 mph with stronger gusts. The barometer reading was -0.04" since yesterday. (29.81 in Hg on non calibrated barometer).

Forecast
Today
The forecast for today is for a low in the low 60's, a high in the mid 70's , with cloudy skies and a near 100% chance of showers or thunderstorms, some storms may be severe with hail and/or a tornado. Winds will be from the southwest 10-15 mph. Flooding is expected to be a problem throughout much of Middle Tennessee.

The low today was 62º F and the high was 71º F. It rained all day, sometimes heavy downpours, with almost 7" of rain recorded by sunset when the rain ended for the most part.

The forecast for tomorrow is for a low in the low 50's and a high in the mid 70's with skies clearing to partly cloudy and a 40% chance of showers or thunderstorms, mainly in the morning.

The forecast for the day after tomorrow is for a low in the mid 50's and a high in the upper 70's with partly cloudy skies.

The most precipitation reported in Tennessee was 11.40" at Brownsville. There were 316 reports from Tennessee.
The most precipitation reported in Sumner County, Tennessee was 4.75" at White House (6 PM report).
The most precipitation reported in Texas was a 1.58" at Cumby. There were 489 reports from Texas.
The most precipitation reported in Tarrant County, Texas was 0.12" at Mansfield.
So far 6495 CoCoRaHS entries have been made and the greatest amount of precipitation reported was 11.40" at Brownsville, Tennessee
. There were 27 reports of 4" or more from Tennessee (3 reports of 10" or more), 4 reports of 4" or more from Florida, and 3 reports of 4" or more from Arkansas.

The most new snow reported was 5.3" at Vail, Colorado.
