There was no precipitation in the gauge this morning. The 5:00 AM temperature was 27º F, and there were no stars visible (cloudy or mostly cloudy), and winds were calm. The barometer reading was +0.01" since yesterday morning. (30.06 inches Hg on non calibrated barometer).

Forecast
Today
The forecast for today is for a low in the mid 20's, a high in the low 40's, with cloudy skies. Winds will be from the northeast at 5-10 mph. There is a 70% chance of rain, sleet and snow tonight, changing to snow after midnight with up to an inch accumulation possible.

The low today was 25º F and the high was 38º F. It was cloudy most of the day with a patch of mostly cloudy during the afternoon. The snow began at 7:57 PM and it had snowed 0.3" by 8:27 PM, 0.9" by 8:57 PM, 1.2" by 9:27 PM and 2.1" by 12:27 PM. There was still just 2.1" at 5 AM on Christmas.

The most precipitation reported in Tennessee was 0.16" at Maryville. There were 234 reports from Tennessee.
No precipitation was reported in Sumner County, Tennessee.
The most precipitation reported in Texas was 0.06" at Eagle Pass. There were 412 reports from Texas.
No precipitation was reported in Tarrant County, Texas.

The most precipitation reported in Michigan was 0.30" at Grand Rapids. There were 90 reports from Michigan. The most new snow was 2.5" at Traverse City.
The most precipitation reported in Berrien County, Michigan was 0.02" at Niles. The most new snow was a trace at Buchanan, Niles, and Stevensville.

So far 5927 CoCoRaHS entries have been made and the greatest amount of precipitation reported was 5.46" at Ookala, Hawaii.
