Westmoreland Weather
The rain gauge was empty this morning, the 5:30 AM temperature was 71ºF, the sky was clear, and no wind was observed.

The forecast for today is for highs in the lower 90's, partly cloudy skies, and a 20% chance of showers .

Weather Fact
Bowling Green, Kentucky averages 51.23" of rain a year. (National Weather Service Climate http://nowdata.rcc-acis.org/LMK/pubACIS_results). (Bowling Green is about 30 miles north from my location near Westmoreland.)

7/28/2008 CoCoRaHS reports (as of time of blog entry) -

The most rain recorded in Tennessee was 1.80" at Standing Stone State Park.

The most rain in Texas was 1.02" in Amarillo.

No rain was recorded in Tarrant County, Texas.

So far 5066 CoCoRaHS entries have been made and the greatest amount of rain was 4.57" at Centerville, Iowa.
