Westmoreland Weather
There was no rain in the gauge this morning, the 5:30 AM temperature was 71ºF, the sky was mostly clear, and winds were calm.

The forecast for today is for highs in the mid 90's and partly cloudy skies and a 30% chance of showers with the best chance in the afternoon.

The low for today was 70ºF and the high was 87ºF. It was mostly clear early, then partly cloudy, then mostly cloudy as the day went on. In the evening there was a severe thunderstorm south of us and thunder and lightning north of us, but we did not receive any rain here.

8/5/2008 CoCoRaHS reports (as of time of blog entry) -

The most rain recorded in Tennessee was a trace (less than 0.01") at Cross Plains.

The most rain in Texas was 1.44" at Friendswood.

No rain was recorded in Tarrant County, Texas.

So far 5067 CoCoRaHS entries have been made and the greatest amount of rain was 6.42" at Valparaiso, Indiana. The top 40 or so CoCoRaHS entries were from Indiana with rain amounts ranging from over 3.5" to 3 reports of over 6". 47 of the top 50 were from Indiana.
