Westmoreland Weather
There was 0.30" of precipitation in the gauge this morning. The 5:30 AM temperature was 62ºF, the sky was partly cloudy and winds were calm.

The forecast for today is for a low in the mid 60's, a high in the low 80's, with partly cloudy skies in the morning becoming mostly cloudy skies later and with a 30% chance of thunderstorms or showers in the late afternoon.

The low today was 62º F and the high was 81º F. There were a few scattered thunderstorms around from late morning through the early evening. We had 0.19" of rain in the gauge when I got home around 8 PM.

Last year on the 15th the low was 58º F, the high was 69º F, and 0.77" of precipitation was recorded for this CoCoRaHS station.

5/14/2009 CoCoRaHS reports (from reports at time of blog entry that looked like they might be legitimate) -
The most precipitation reported in Tennessee was 0.98" at Camden. There were 302 reports from Tennessee.
The most precipitation reported in Sumner County, Tennessee was 0.32" at Westmoreland (a report entered in at 3:09 PM, after the morning storms).
The most precipitation reported in Texas was 1.02" at Gilmer. There were 425 reports from Texas.
The most precipitation reported in Tarrant County, Texas was 0.33" at Crowley.
So far 6225 CoCoRaHS entries have been made and the greatest amount of precipitation was 4.42" at Brooklyn, Indiana.

The most new snow reported was 1.8" at Broadus, Montana.
The greatest amount of snow on the ground was 14.0" at Kingvale, California.
