There was 0.81" of precipitation in the gauge this morning. The 5:30 AM temperature was 65ºF, the sky was cloudy with rain and winds were estimated to be 4-7 mph. A strong thunderstorm came through around 5 AM this morning with heavy rain, lightening and some hail (heard but not seen). It was still raining at 5:30 when I checked the gauge.

The forecast for today is for a low in the low 60's, a high in the low 80's, with partly cloudy skies and a 70% chance of thunderstorms.

The low today was 63º F and the high was 78º F. There were showers and thunderstorms off and on most of the day. There was 0.58" of rain in the gauge when I got home at around 7 PM and it was partly cloudy.

Last year on the 8th the low was 60º F, the high was 67º F, and 0.01" of precipitation was recorded for this CoCoRaHS station.

The most precipitation reported in Tennessee was 1.78" at Spring Hill. There were 360 reports from Tennessee.
The most precipitation reported in Sumner County, Tennessee was 0.49" at Gallatin and Westmoreland.
The most precipitation reported in Texas was 1.18" at Point. There were 380 reports from Texas.
The most precipitation reported in Tarrant County, Texas was a 0.03" at North Richland Hills.
So far 6360 CoCoRaHS entries have been made and the greatest amount of precipitation was 4.56" at Clanton, Alabama.

The most new snow reported was 10.0" at Paradise Ranger Station (Mount Rainier NP), Washington.
The greatest amount of snow on the ground was 28.0" at Kingvale, California.
