Memorial Day
Today is a special day to reflect on the freedom and liberty of our country and the sacrifices so many individuals and families have made to ensure that we, our children, and our fellow citizens have freedom to continue to search for the truths that God has made available to each of us.

Westmoreland Weather
There was 0.38" of precipitation in the gauge this morning. The 5:30 AM temperature was 67ºF, the sky was cloudy and winds were estimated to be 1-3 mph.

The forecast for today is for a low in the mid 60's, a high in the upper 70's and mostly cloudy skies with a 60% chance of rain and southeast winds 5-10 mph.

The low today was 66º F and the high was 79º F. It was partly cloudy most of the day with a shower around 1:30 or 2 PM.

Last year on the 25th the low was 50º F, the high was 82º F, and no precipitation was recorded for this CoCoRaHS station.

5/24/2009 CoCoRaHS reports (from reports at time of blog entry that looked like they might be legitimate) -
The most precipitation reported in Tennessee was 1.19" at Bartlett. There were 307 reports from Tennessee.
The most precipitation reported in Sumner County, Tennessee was 0.07" at Westmoreland.
The most precipitation reported in Texas was 2.98" at Austin. There were 493 reports from Texas.
The most precipitation reported in Tarrant County, Texas was 0.94" at Saginaw.
So far 5606 CoCoRaHS entries have been made and the greatest amount of precipitation was 5.01" at Boynton Beach, Florida.

No new snow was reported.
The most snow reported on the ground was 2.0" at Soda Springs, California.
