There was no precipitation in the gauge this morning. The 5:30 AM temperature was 40ºF, the sky was cloudy, and winds were calm.
The forecast for today is for a high near 50, the low in the upper 20's, and mostly cloudy sky's.

11/8/2008 CoCoRaHS reports (as of time of blog entry) -
The most precipitation reported in Tennessee was 0.98" at Shelbyville. There were 314 reports from Tennessee.
The most precipitation reported in Texas was 0.21" at Corpus Christi. There were 267 reports from Texas.
No precipitation was reported in Tarrant County, Texas.
So far, 4591 CoCoRaHS entries have been made and the greatest amount of precipitation was 4.17" at Forks, Washington.
The most new snow reported was 3.2" in Aniak, Alaska. There were a couple of reports from the blizzard in South Dakota of 8" and 10" where the people were without power or could not report earlier for another reason.
The most snow on the ground was hard for the observers to estimate due to the conditions, the highest 'best' guess was 28" at Whitewood, South Dakota with drifts of 12' and some almost bear spots.
