Westmoreland Weather
There was no precipitation in the gauge this morning. The 5:30 AM temperature was 24ºF, it was clear and winds were calm. There was frost.

There was 1.97" of precipitation from 1/5 till 2:30PM on 1/8.
The low on the 5th was 32ºF and the high was 38ºF.
The low on the 6th was 37ºF and the high was 48ºF.
The low on the 7th was 34ºF and the high was 47ºF.
The low on the 8th was 23ºF and the high was 44ºF.

The forecast for today is for the low in the low 40's and the high in the low 50's with mostly clear sky's during the day and a 60% chance of showers in the evening, mainly after midnight.

Last year on the 9th the low was 38ºF, the high was 52ºF, and 0.90" of precipitation was recorded for this CoCoRaHS station.

The forecast today is for a low around 9ºF and a high in the low 20's with a 60% chance of snow.

1/8/2009 CoCoRaHS reports (as of time of blog entry) -
The most precipitation reported in Tennessee was 0.57" at Athens. There were 321 reports from Tennessee.
The most precipitation reported in Texas was 0.02" at Seguin. There were 334 reports from Texas.
No precipitation was reported in Tarrant County, Texas.
So far, 5311 CoCoRaHS entries have been made and the greatest amount of precipitation was 5.62" at Olympia, Washington.

The most new snow reported was 7.1" at Alexandria Bay, New York.
The most snow reported on the ground was 46.0" at Crested Butte, Colorado.

Note on snow in Tennessee -
There was about 3" of snow on the ground at Roan Mountain State Park in Carter County Tennessee at 9:30 AM on 1/8 when we left to come home and it was still snowing. I haven't seen a CoCoRaHS report from Carter County to see how much snow they ended up with.
