Westmoreland Weather
There was no precipitation in the gauge this morning. The 5:30 AM temperature was 72ºF, the sky was partly cloudy, and winds were estimated to be 1-3 mph.

The forecast for today is for a low in the upper 50's, a high in the mid 80's, mostly cloudy skies in the morning clearing to partly cloudy in the afternoon, and west winds 10-15 mph in the morning changing to northwest winds 15-25 mph in the afternoon. There is a 30% chance of showers or thundershowers in the morning.

The low today was 61º F and the high was 80º F. It was partly cloudy most of the day. At around 10:40 AM it became cloudy, it began raining at about 10:45 AM and rained hard from about 10:47 AM to 10:52 AM. The rain stopped by 10:58 AM and it was partly cloudy again by 11:00 AM. There was 0.18" of rain for the brief shower. It was windy most of the day with winds estimated to be 19-24 mph in the afternoon.

Last year on the 17th the low was 62º F, the high was 87º F, and no precipitation was recorded for this CoCoRaHS station.

7/16/2009 CoCoRaHS reports (from reports at time of blog entry that looked like they might be legitimate) -

The most precipitation reported in Tennessee was 4.10" at Waynesboro. There were 369 reports from Tennessee.
The most precipitation reported in Sumner County, Tennessee was 0.53" at Westmoreland.
The most precipitation reported in Texas was 1.25" at Dalhart. There were 394 reports from Texas.
No precipitation was reported in Tarrant County, Texas.
So far 6235 CoCoRaHS entries have been made and the greatest amount of precipitation was 4.10" at Waynesboro, Tennessee. This was the only report of more than 4".

No new snow was reported.
