There was 0.02" of precipitation in the gauge this morning. The 5:30 AM temperature was 74ºF, the sky was partly cloudy, and winds were calm.

The forecast for today is for a low in the mid 60's, a high in the mid 80's, with mostly cloudy skies and southwest winds 5-10 mph. There is a 50% chance of showers or thunderstorms.

The low today was 69º F and the high was 82º F. There was a brief shower from 7:10 AM to 7:15 AM with hard rain resulting in 0.16" in the gauge. Most of the morning was mostly cloudy and it became partly cloudy in the afternoon.

7/25/2009 CoCoRaHS reports (from reports at time of blog entry that looked like they might be legitimate) -

The most precipitation reported in Tennessee was 0.92" at Franklin. There were 253 reports from Tennessee.
The most precipitation reported in Sumner County, Tennessee was 0.03" at Gallatin.
The most precipitation reported in Texas was 0.67" at El Paso. There were 341 reports from Texas.
The most precipitation reported in Tarrant County, Texas was 0.10" at Blue Mound.
So far 5377 CoCoRaHS entries have been made and the greatest amount of precipitation was 4.79" at Martinsburg, West Virginia. This was the only report over 4".

The 2" of new snow reported at Shelbyville, Indiana would appear dubious at best.
No snow was reported on the ground.
