Westmoreland Weather
There was 0.29" of precipitation in the gauge this morning. The 7:30 AM (note deviation from normal 5:30 AM) temperature was 32ºF, the sky was cloudy and winds were estimated to be 4-7 mph. There was a 0.1" or less glaze of ice covering everything.

The forecast for today is for a low in the low 30's, a high around 40ºF, and a 80% chance of rain. The rain is expected to be freezing rain in the morning and regular rain in the afternoon.

The low today was 29ºF and the high was 45ºF. The high came sometime after 9:30 PM when I went to bed as the temperature then was about 38ºF and hadn't got much warmer during the day. It was cloudy all day with periods of light rain.

Last year on the 16th the low was 32ºF, the high was 49ºF, and 0.32" of precipitation was recorded for this CoCoRaHS station.

Weather Forecast for Oshkosh, Wisconsin

CoCoRaHS
CoCoRaHS is a volunteer system where average people who like weather can record the precipitation at their location and help various climate researchers better understand precipitation patterns. For more information, go to the CoCoRaHS web site.

12/15/2008 CoCoRaHS reports (as of time of blog entry) -
The most precipitation reported in Tennessee was 0.55" at Brentwood. (A 5.60" reported at Dayton may should have been 0.56", but I don't think there was over 5".) There were 328 reports from Tennessee.
The most precipitation reported in Texas was 0.18" at Victoria. There were 376 reports from Texas. No precipitation was reported in Tarrant County, Texas.
So far, 5492 CoCoRaHS entries have been made and the greatest amount of precipitation was 2.76" at Nevada City, California. (3 other reports of greater amounts all appear to be bogus.)

The most new snow reported was 14.0" at Kingvale, California.
The most snow reported on the ground was 38.0" at Anchorage, Alaska.
